Description

This is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used frequently in equine medicine as an anti-inflammatory and pain reliever, especially associated with musculoskeletal disease. Bute is prescribed most commonly for cases of arthritis or lameness. It is available as a tablet, powder, or oral paste.
